Inspiring Metrology comes to Control International Trade Fair in 2015
Hexagon Metrology showcases innovative quality automation at Europe’s flagship industry event02 April 2015
Leading industrial measurement solutions provider Hexagon Metrology has revealed an ultramodern technology line up for Control, the international trade fair for quality assurance. This year’s exhibition focuses heavily on metrology and process control automation and promises to feature the cutting-edge innovations of today – and the standards of tomorrow.
As early as the first industrial revolution, entrepreneurial designers and manufacturers realised the potential of automation in improving production speed and product quality. Over two centuries later, manufacturers are seeing the same potential in state-of-the-art quality control technology, and Hexagon Metrology believes that innovative approaches to automating measurement can help to inspire progress in manufacturing.
“Strong automated solutions are developed in synergy with the processes they are there to support,” explained John Paulsen, Vice President Sales & Marketing at Hexagon Metrology EMEA. “As a company, we are committed to building not only quality solutions that are automated, but also automated solutions that are quality. We are excited to be at Control, showing some of the successes from this approach to the customers whose processes are going to improve in the coming years as a result.”
Hexagon Metrology will be exhibiting highlights from its broad portfolio, from stationary coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to portable measuring arms and laser trackers, vision and multisensor devices to white light systems, hand tools and gauges to sensors and software. Among the show highlights will be the Control debut of the acclaimed Leica Absolute Tracker AT960 laser tracker, exhibited as part of a portable robotic cell. In fact, the 500 m2 Hexagon Metrology installation features no less than five automated units for inspection and quality control related applications from part-loading through to metrology-guided assembly.
The company will also introduce a new concept for automated sensor exchange on stationary CMMs, while visitors can also experience the powerful feeling of having the facts at their fingertips as they test new software solutions that integrate factory data and produce actionable information to inform better decision making.
Control 2015 runs from 5 to 8 May 2015 at Landesmesse Stuttgart in Germany. For inspiring metrology, visit the Hexagon Metrology quality automation experience on Stand 5302 in Hall 5.
