Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for New Hexagon Precision Centre in Oradea, Romania
New Oradea Precision Centre Responds to Growth in Romania and Strengthens Relationships with Local Customers28 March 2019
On 4 April , Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Romania will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the company’s second Precision Centre in Romania, located in the city of Oradea.
The ceremony will mark the official opening of the new Precision Centre, a facility which includes a demonstration centre and training rooms dedicated for measurement software applications.
Besides opening a location supporting metrology applications, contract inspection services and training closer to customers from the West side of the country, the Hexagon Romania team also seeks to maintain a strong collaboration with the academic environment from the University of Timisoara and to start a partnership with the University of Oradea during this year. This new location will make the connection between Hexagon and the universities easier in terms of communication, and keep a good balance of information, knowledge and students participating in industrial environment placements.
Gabriela Georgescu, General Manager of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Romania explains: “We have already set the terms of our successful collaboration with the University of Timisoara, with its professors and students in the past years, and it is now the turn of Oradea’s academic environment to participate in this industrial knowledge exchange. Hexagon has a tradition in recruiting and preparing students for their future career in metrology, and we do this for our internal team and for customer teams. We use personalised trainings based on their skill levels and on the field of work they choose to study during university and we always try to focus on the practical aspects and applications, in order for them to be ready to face the day to day challenges of metrology.”
Hexagon Romania’s second Precision Centre will support a growing number of customers in the region, offering professional hardware, software and services, together with quality training support for the company’s current customers.
“We see a very strong demand for quality control solutions and services in West area, which prompted us to expand our presence in Romania. Our promise is to be closer to our customers and strengthen our relationships with them. This facility will help us do so,” adds Mrs. Georgescu.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be accompanied by the latest Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence product news and presentations and the local launch of the new Leica Absolute Tracker ATS600. Guests will include members of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence EMEA Management, key industry customers and academic representatives of Romanian universities.
