Hexagon Metrology brings latest technologies to MIDEST 2015
Manufacturers invited to test new measurement solutions at industrial subcontracting event in Paris22 October 2015
Hexagon Metrology has announced plans to exhibit its latest manufacturing technologies, including the brand new tube measurement software TubeShaper, at industrial subcontracting event MIDEST 2015.
Running 17-20 November at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, MIDEST is a global platform that brings customers and subcontractors together to develop new partnerships and smarter ways of working with the goal of improving production and supply chain interaction worldwide. Taking place alongside MIDEST is Tolexpo 2015, France's leading event dedicated to metalworking production technology.
The recently-launched TubeShaper software is an integral part of Hexagon Metrology’s Tube Inspection System, a turnkey solution for tube-related inspection applications. Using the versatile measurement capabilities of the ROMER Absolute Arm portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and developed in close collaboration with some of the world’s leading tube producers, it offers a scalable system to meet the needs of engineers, quality managers and shop-floor users. The Tube Inspection System will be demonstrated at MIDEST alongside the latest additions to Hexagon Metrology’s portable 3D digitising solutions: the ROMER Absolute Arm with integrated laser scanner and the HP-L-8.9 external laser scanner.
Other demonstrations on the Hexagon Metrology stand will include the ultra-portable Leica Absolute Tracker AT960 laser tracker. Visitors will be able to see how the system works with the handheld Leica T-Probe and Leica T-Scan sensor devices to offer a complete probing and scanning solution for large-scale measurement applications. The Optiv Performance 443 Dual Z multisensor CMM, which features twin Z-axes for greater part accessibility and optimal use of the multiple sensors available, will also be exhibited.
“MIDEST is a fantastic international forum for manufacturing professionals,” said Daniel Jullien, general manager at Hexagon Metrology France. “With over 40 000 people expected to be there, I’m sure we will see many valuable partnerships being forged. We look forward to meeting customers and industry leaders to discuss their needs and ideas for the future.”
