We are looking for a developer to join our solver team to develop cutting edge next generation simulation solutions.


The role:

In this role you will be creating new mathematical models and computer programs to simulate multiple physical domains such as thermal, electrical, mechanical and fluid for driveline systems. This is a highly technical role that requires you to have excellent mathematical modelling and programing skills. There is a strong need to think beyond conventional approaches to conceive of and develop new and innovative approaches.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of mathematical models and solvers to simulate performance of various physical domains and their interactions.
  • Software implementation of mathematical models and solvers.
  • Extension of proof-of-concepts to full software implementations.
  • Define new developments with Product Managers/Product Owners through requirements analysis and agile planning
  • Hand over developments through technical documentation, demos, release notes & help manuals
Requirements:
 
  • Degree in physics, mathematics or any relevant engineering discipline and ideally a PhD.
  • Experience in physics-based modelling.
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming and appreciation for a good software architecture.
  • Proficiency in a programming language, preferably C++.
  • Experience in multi-body dynamics or multi-physics simulation would be advantageous.
  • Use of Git, GitLab or GitHub, working experience within an agile method such as Scrum and experience in JIRA and Confluence is of advantage.
  • Good communication skills.
