  Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence, division is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager for our North Kingstown, RI location.

Description:  
As the Senior Human Resources Manager you will oversee the company’s daily administrative functions to include planning, coordinating, and directing activities such as staffing, strategic planning with executives and dealing with employee questions and concerns.  Liaison between upper management and all other employees and is an integral partner in building and maintaining the company’s culture through the hiring process and employee relations.


Responsibilities:   
  • Manages the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Develops training materials and performance management programs to ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
  • Develops and monitors an annual budget to include HR services, employee recognition, compensation administration, benefits administration, and community events support
  • Selects and supervises consultants, attorneys, training specialists, and coordinates the use of insurance brokers, insurance carriers, pension administrators, and other outside sources
  • Conducts a continuing study of all HR policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed of new developments
  • Leads the development of department goals, objectives, and systems
  • Provides leadership for HR strategic planning
  • Ensures the company’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Leads the operation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans and employee development programs
  • Establishes an in-house training system that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee onboarding/orientation, management development as well as external training programs
  • Determines and recommends employee relations practices to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote employee morale and motivation.  Conduct periodic surveys to measure employee satisfaction and engagement
  • Conducts investigation when employee complaints or concerns are brought forward
  • Monitors and advises managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline system.  Monitors the performance improvement process with non-performing employees
  • Reviews, guides, and approves management recommendations for employment terminations
  • Leads the safety and health programs and monitors the tracking of OSHA-required data
  • Establishes wage and salary structure, pay policies, and oversees the variable pay systems including bonuses and increases
  • Leads competitive market research to establish pay practices and pay structures that help to recruit and retain superior staff
  • Obtain cost-effective, employee-serving benefits; monitors national benefits environment for options and cost savings
  • Leads the development of benefit orientations and other benefits training for employees and their families
  • Recommends changes in benefits offered, specifically new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention
  • Remains current with respect to Human Resources legislation by attending training classes, administration courses, independent research, and seminars as needed

Qualifications:   
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 5+ year’s relevant experience
  • Minimum 3 years of Supervisory experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in all aspects of Human Resources
  • Problem-solving abilities and resourceful thinking skills
  • Detail oriented and analytically driven with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to promote a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong project and time management, interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS experience a plus
  • Works independently as well as in a team environment
