Pre-Sales Engineer (Virtual Test Drive)
Location: Munich, Germany (hybrid)

The Pre-Sales Engineer supports Hexagon D&E VIRES Virtual Test Drive (VTD) and related system dynamics business mainly in the DACH area. He/She works closely with the local sales and technical teams and  provides technical support to various customers.

  • Driving the VTD autonomous driving simulation and related system dynamics business at Hexagon D&E in DACH
  • Working closely together with sales and technical colleagues in DACH
  • Executing on-line and on- site demos / benchmarks / projects / trainings / test support for our customers
  • As a VTD expert within the general Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) presales team, you are the bridge between CAE and autonomous driving
  • Coming up pro-actively with proposals on how to grow the business
  • Building new contacts with prospects and driving these opportunities towards final closure of business


  • A master’s degree in a technical / engineering field and a proven background in automated driving
  • Ideally 3+ years’ in the area of ADAS and autonomous driving stacks
  • Ideally of personal experience in customer-oriented activities
  • Experience/working knowledge of SIL/HIL
  • Experience/working knowledge of simulation, testing, and validation (VTD, Carsim, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of ROS, DDS, ADTF, CAN, etc. is a plus
  • Working knowledge of C++, Matlab, Simulink, Python, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Adams or other system dynamics simulation (multibody simulation) software is an additional advantage
  • Hands on experience with Linux
  • Team player, pragmatic, solution-oriented, enthusiasm to work with customers
  • Fluent in German and English
