Short description:

We are looking for a Technical Consultant in the UK to advise, support and train our customers with the use of nonlinear FEA products.

Our ideal candidate has already gained initial experience in an industrial or consulting environment, working with nonlinear FEA software tools, and has a strong interest in material modelling and working with a broad range of engineering solutions and industrial sectors. This is project related work, including close contact with customers, so we’re looking for a dynamic and customer-focused professional.

Technical Consultant – FEA will report to the Director, Sales & Dealer Management.

Tasks in detail:
  • Advise, support and train customers using nonlinear FEA products.
  • Deliver application consulting to strategic clients which includes the use of CAE products applied to specific moderately complex customer analysis problems.
  • Provide technical support for our non-linear FEA and multi-scale material modelling software tools.
  • Assist Sales in developing, and managing implementation plans for our key accounts.
  • Work closely together with other European sales and technical teams.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Material Engineering or equivalent applied science degree.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an industrial or consulting environment, including interships.
  • Experience in nonlinear FEA software tools such as Marc, Nastran, Abaqus, LS-Dyna or Dytran.
  • Knowledge of material engineering, specifically composites, is desirable.
  • Teamwork and strong sense of responsibility.
  • Time management, communications, decision making, human relations, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Positive, constructive and creative attitude.
  • Availability to travel up to 20% of the time within UK to meet customers in their installations.
  • Fluent English.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of other HMI software products is an advantage.
