BendingStudio with Absolute Arm is the new solution for the tube and wire manufacturing industry that brings the speed, quality and portability of 3D laser scanning to bear on the challenges of reliably producing shaped tube and wire products.
A reconfiguration of the well-established AICON BendingStudio software platform allows for the integration of a ROMER Absolute Arm with Integrated Scanner as the system’s measurement input tool. This delivers both the speed of high-quality 3D laser scanning – with tube geometry digitisable with only a few quick sweeps of the 3D laser scanner – and the extreme flexibility of portable measuring arm technology, which can be quickly situated at any point at which measurements need to be made.
This speed and portability come without compromise. BendingStudio with Absolute Arm is fully applicable to complex tube and wire formations, including bend-in-bend and freeform, and can easily compensate for deflection in long and flexible tubes. The open bender interface of BendingStudio is configurable for direct data transfer to most CNC benders, allowing for immediate production correction when deviations are identified. And with the leading technology of the RS4 laser scanner in the ROMER Absolute Arm with Integrated Scanner, the system can handle tube and wires in a wide variety of materials, colours and surface finishes.
