Hexagon to showcase its solutions for an autonomous future at CES 2020

Hexagon AB, a global leader in sensor, software and autonomous solutions, will demonstrate its end-to-end solutions for infrastructure, mobility and manufacturing applications at CES 2020, highlighting the company's integral role in empowering an autonomous future.

At pavilion CP-15 in the Las Vegas Convention Center's Central Plaza, Hexagon's technology will challenge the way the world thinks about the future of autonomy:  

  • Reality Capture: Autonomous solutions require the seamless data capture of real-world inputs. Experience Hexagon's Leica BLK portfolio of laser scanning and measurement solutions that capture reality in high definition to create digital replicas of the physical world. These Smart Digital RealitiesTM are used by architects, city planners, government agencies, building and construction companies, the entertainment industry (film and gaming), interior designers and more. At CES 2020, Hexagon will launch a new cloud-based visualisation platform that brings all this data together.

  • Smart Autonomous Mobility: Hexagon will unveil its comprehensive portfolio of Smart Autonomous Mobility solutions at CES 2020, which will help enable, accelerate and deploy the future of autonomy, bringing together all the necessary sensors, software and services to make autonomous driving possible and functionally safe. The CES experience will include a hands-on display of the solutions that make autonomous driving possible. In addition, Hexagon will demonstrate its production-level automotive positioning results on real roads throughout the city of Las Vegas.

  • Smart Manufacturing: Approximately 85% of cell phones and 75% of automobiles in the world are produced using Hexagon's technology. Hexagon's smart manufacturing processes help electronics and automotive companies accelerate new product development, bringing innovative products to market faster. At CES, Hexagon will show its extensive consumer electronics manufacturing touchpoints from components to assembly. In addition, attendees can see how automotive part inspection can be automated to accelerate production and help support the deployment of autonomous vehicles, as well as how Hexagon's technology is integral to developing hardware and simulating virtual worlds for gaming.

While the solutions on display at CES 2020 are vital and strategic applications for Hexagon's vision of an autonomous future, they only scratch the surface of the company's core capabilities and Smart Solutions Portfolio.
