 Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking an IT Infrastructure Specialist.  The ideal candidate will be in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, or the Atlanta region.

Description: 
The IT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for information systems, platforms, and projects as assigned in accordance with established organizational standards for efficiency, accuracy, and security controls.  Performs various IT administration duties related to organization’s hardware, software, service contracts, and uptime SLA’s.  Provides advanced technical support as assigned within geo service desk queues.  Develops and enhances current and future IT Infrastructure.  Serves as a liaison between group and geo IT teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Audits information systems, platforms, and operating procedures within established organizational standards for efficiency, accuracy, and security
  • Evaluates IT infrastructure in terms of risk to the organization and establishes controls to mitigate loss
  • Determines and recommends improvements in current risk management controls and implementation of system changes or upgrades
  • Performs various IT duties related to the organization’s hardware, software, service contracts to support uptime service level agreements
  • Maintains systems, processes and reporting for tracking IT life cycles, inventory, licenses, and third-party support agreements
  • Ensures compliance with procedures and standards
  • Tracks quality throughout product/contract lifetimes
  • Provides advanced technical support as escalated within service desk queues
  • Reviews, analyzes, maintains, and reports upon IT monitoring systems
  • Assists in designing and developing IT systems
  • Provides training of IT standards & policies
  • Conducts feasibility studies for large projects and makes recommendations on equipment selection
  • Serves as a liaison between group and geo IT teams
  • Provides system analysis to ensure the needs of the user are met
  • May assist in system implementation or training
  • Supports client-side endpoint lifecycle, user experience and documentation
  • Supports and escalations supervision for Helpdesk, Operations, Security, and other internal IT teams
  • ISP/Telecommunications monitoring, support, and administration
  • Monitors end user surveys and incident review towards trend reporting and resolution
  • IT security compliance integration and remediation as directed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experience with Azure/AWS cloud migrations; MS SQL; VMWare; MS Server & Linux based operating systems
  • Experience with legacy and modern endpoint operating systems and management technologies
  • Experience or knowledge of onprem or cloud network technologies is a bonus
  • 5+ years’ experience in a mixed enterprise IT environment
  • A+, Net+, Sec+, MCT or other IT certifications desired
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and reasoning skills
  • Creative, analytical, self-motivated, and driven
  • Excellent organizational, project planning and management skills
  • Proficient in MS software & technologies (Local & Cloud)
  • Willing to learn new technologies
  • Works independently as well as in a team environment
