Sales Engineer- Productivity Specialist

 Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Sales Engineer to cover the Midwest Region, concentrating on Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and North Dakota.

The Sales Engineer Productivity Specialist, is considered a technical and commercial expert in the Aftermarket product line and is responsible for sales of that product line in a defined sales territory, which may also include some Key Accounts.  The Sales Engineer – Aftermarket's duties for selling in an individual territory include revenue generation, long term development of the sales territory, increased market share, reliable forecasting, and delivery of profitable orders for Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. 

  • Achieves the unit and revenue targets for the Aftermarket product in the specific territory, with profitable orders.
  • Software product champion in the Area, selling Smart Quality, PC-DMIS, SA2, and capable of interacting with other Hexagon software companies like Vero, FTI, Catavot, and others. 
  • Coordinate activities with the local Applications Team to aggressively seek out and sell Applications Engineering Services to promote customer productivity.
  • Perform effective demonstrations of company products and use their knowledge to act consultatively with the customer to develop valuable solutions and foster long term relationships with key customers.
  • Use software and procedures to monitor and advance the sales process.
  • Advocate for the customer at all stages of the sales process and be the catalyst for high customer satisfaction.  This includes championing the “Hexagon Advantage.”
  • Support any distribution channels within the assigned geographic area.
  • Explains, and helps facilitate the approved product and business plans for the territory and Area.
  • Assists the CO Manager, Sales Engineer – Automated Measurement Systems, and Product Sales Managers in developing sales strategies and tactics for various Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence products. 
  • Maintains a close relationship with the Product Sales Manager, Application Engineering, Product Management, Customer Order Service, Credit, and other departments to ensure efficient and timely processing of inquiries, quotations, proposals, and complaints.
  • Assures customer satisfaction through discussion and suggestion of products and services required by our customers.
  • Monitors local market and customer trends, as well as industry developments, as they relate to our company’s products and services.  This information is relayed to the CO Manager and other key contributors to ensure that our products and staffing are proactively positioned for success.
  • Provides reliable, real-time, monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasts that are used in the allocation of resources by the company.
  • Minimum- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably with technical training.
  • Three years of sales experience in an industrial environment, with a strong record of sustained success.
  • Three years of Business experience.
  • Strong Metrology background and aptitude, including the ability to understand, and demonstrate various software packages
  • Team oriented, with the ability to work successfully within a small group.
