The duties and responsibilities of the position include the following:

  1. Support the delivery of the UK Portable Sales Plan.
  2. Conduct customer visits with the objective of developing prospects into customers and customers into sales leads.
  3. Provide sales support, including demonstrations and sample part measurements.
  4. Support current and future strategies, e.g., Test drive campaign, upgrades etc.
  5. Support the UK Marketing Plan and associated activities, e.g., exhibitions, webinars, open houses.
  6. Reporting of KPI activity and product line analysis and information dissemination.
  7. Undertake Strategic Initiatives for the PL or the area as agreed with the UK Sales Director.
  8. Matrix working with other roles and functions, ensuring smooth and proactive customer interaction to maintain customer satisfaction.
  9. Ensure an up-to-date market awareness and knowledge of industry developments- more specifically internal product developments, including internal product training.
  • Compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and directions when working on customer / dealer / end user sites.
  • To manage their capacity and capability to monitor and improve their own performance.
  • Maintain and demonstrate the Hexagon values.
  • Additional duties may be assigned from time to time
  • Must have previous metrology experience e.g., pointcloud, CAD, GD&T, SPC and reverse engineering.
  • Presentation skills with the ability to identify technical problems, propose and demonstrate solutions.
  • Ability to build proposals, and cost justifications.
  • Engineering bias background with relevant experience/ qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 years successful sales of capital equipment/ software
  • Knowledge of the customer sector groups Hexagon serves, their environments and general requirements.
  • IT Literate within a CRM environment
  • Must be able to manage numerous often simultaneous and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Customer orientated, both internally and externally- relationship builder.
  • Highly confident, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Personal integrity and trustworthiness, with a strong work ethic.
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication.
  • Creative thinker, someone who can think around problems.
