RS6 Laser Scanner
All the performance, all of the time
With the RS6, high-speed 3D scanning comes without performance degradation on any surface, whatever the finish or material. With an ultra-wide and horizontally-oriented laser scan line and fully-automatic exposure settings, 3D digitisation is faster, easier and more accurate.
Powered by our innovative SHINE – Systematic High-Intelligence Noise Elimination – technology, the RS6 Laser Scanner has no hidden settings that limit speed and scan-line width in order to deliver peak accuracy. The RS6 delivers full performance at all times – maximum frame rate at maximum laser width for maximum productivity.
The RS6 scanner can also be easily removed from the Absolute Arm, to allow easier and safer access to touch probing functionality in hard-to-reach areas. It can then be remounted with no need for recalibration – thanks to its completely repeatable mounting, you just clip it back in place and continue 3D scanning immediately.
The RS6 Laser Scanner is the pinnacle of 3D scanner technology for portable measuring arms, and in combination with the Absolute Arm 7-Axis delivers the ultimate all-round portable measurement solution for small-to-medium components.
With mid-range scan line width at an extra-wide 150 millimetres – up 30 percent on the previous generation Absolute Arm laser scanner – digitisation of large parts and surfaces is fundamentally faster with the RS6.
Weighing in at just 400-grams, the RS6 is light and easy to move, minimising the user fatigue that is one of the most common causes of inaccurate and unreliable measurement results.
The RS6 is a key part of the user-configurable wrist of the Absolute Arm 7-Axis, acting as a separable scanning hardware module that is quickly and easily removed and remounted as required with no need for recalibration.
The advanced algorithms of our SHINE technology allow you to digitise 99 percent of surface types with the default exposure settings, making high-quality measurement easier than ever with no high-level training required.
Data feedback and settings adjustment at the point of measurement is built into the Absolute Arm 7-Axis through its OLED on-wrist display, and the RS6 is integrated within this concept perfectly with scanner profiles selectable without the need to put down the scanner.
A laser-projected range finder helps users measure more accurately and efficiently by helping ensure the scanner is positioned correctly relative to the part being measured.
The full scanning system accuracy of the RS6 and Absolute Arm 7-Axis system is supplied certified according to ISO 10360-8 Annex D.
Built upon years of portable measuring arm 3D scanner technology, the RS6 Laser Scanner is the latest in a long line of market-leading scanners for articulated measuring arms, going back to the ROMER Scanners that were paired with the ROMER Arm and ROMER Absolute Arm and now beyond.
