Job title: Applications Engineer (EDGECAM / NCSIMUL) 
  
Location: Reading, Gloucester, Chippenham, Telford and/or Home based
 
Objective:  
 
As a member of the UK professional services team working with the EDGECAM & NCSIMUL products, you will be providing quality pre and post sales technical support, customer training and consultancy. Promoting good practice in the delivery of technical support and customer training using relevant industry knowledge. You will provide technical support to the UK & Ireland Sales team.
 
The Applications Engineer (EDGECAM / NCSIMUL) will report to the Support & Services Manager.
 
Responsibilities: 
 
  • Deliver training and consultancy for EDGECAM, DESIGNER, NCSIMUL and associated Hexagon Production Software (HPS) products, on site, at Hexagon offices and/or remotely.
  • Provide high quality, post-sales operational support to end users via our Helpdesk environment and Support Portal.
  • The delivery of NCSIMUL digital twin machines and the commissioning of EDGECAM post processors, primarily for the UK & Ireland customer base.
  • Create learning media and support material for colleagues, direct customers and resellers for  EDGECAM & associated HPS products.
  • Utilise the Company CRM system to manage the delivery of support & services.
  • Develop strong relationships relationships with all key stakeholders, including Sales & Development, as well as with the Customer base.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to identify sales opportunities 
  • Travel to external locations to perform services primarily in the UK but occasionally overseas.

Requirements:
 
  • Extensive experience in CAM/CNC in a production engineering environment.
  • Machine tool control knowledge (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, Mazak, Haas etc.)
  • Good knowledge of CAD/CAM applications (Hexagon Production Software applications or competitive products.)
  • Programming language skills ( .net or similar)
  • Experience of simulation software (NCSIMUL, Vericut etc.) an advantage
  • High level of competency in current operating systems and Microsoft products.
  • Appropriate Degree / HND / HNC / BTEC qualification. 
  • Customer facing and/or support experience. 
  • Valid UK driving licence.
