Description: 
The Inside Sales Acquisition Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Inside Sales Acquisition team.  Oversees
a team of Inside Sales professionals to ensure opportunities are being created via phone or electronic communications that results in sales.  Responsible for their assigned team’s opportunity creation/sales productivity and directs their effort in order to have the greatest overall impact on company results.  Manages all aspects of running an efficient sales team, including hiring, supervising, coaching, disciplining, and motivating direct reports. Responsible for market development, setting KPIs, and ensuring that targeted sales goals are met. 


Responsibilities:
  • Works with sales, service, and marketing leadership to ensure cold-call lead list creation, as well as market-level strategic and business objectives are met
  • Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company initiatives
  • Coordinates the involvement of sales support personnel, including customer support, service, and management resources, so that team performance objectives and customers’ expectations are met
  • Proactively inspects activity levels and effort among business development team members managed, ensuring that the quality and quantity of opportunity generation efforts, conversion rates, along with sales results meet company expectations
  • Recruits, hires, and develops associates, utilizing company guidelines and sales support resources
  • Establishes productive relationship with marketing based on frequent communication, collaboration, and the effective allocation of marketing investment in the marketplace managed
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer requirements and satisfaction by engaging key customer accounts in conjunction with team members managed. Provides a management-level point of contact for key customers and builds/maintains strong customer relationships (when required)
  • Prioritizes coaching and performance management efforts to have the greatest overall impact on business results
  • Ensure reporting and communications is frequent and bi-directional
  • Leads forecasting efforts among the team managed, ensuring that accurate forecasts are completed on a timely basis
  • Mentors team members to develop their skills/knowledge through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.
  • Act as the champion and spokesperson for the HMI solutions and product line
  • Manage creation of sales tools, product documentation, promotional materials, and superior presentation material to support the sales force
  • Participate in the training of the sales force, customer visits and seminars
  • Meets assigned team quotas for opportunity creation, quoting, and opportunity-to-sales conversion rates, and overall sales
  • Accountable for the thorough implementation of all customer-related initiatives among personnel managed
  • Achieves strategic team’s objectives defined by company management
  • Manage and excel in frequently changing environment and ability to effectively communicate the acquisition team’s results, needs, and strategies
  • Balance and prioritize acquisition resources to help drive expected sales results
  • Ensure that priorities for tasks, projects, and products in development are aligned with company priorities and strategies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications: 
  • B.S. in an Engineering discipline preferred, MBA highly desirable
  • 4 - 7 years’ experience in inside sales and team management
  • Strong leadership skills, motivate and influence cross-functional teams with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quota
  • Outstanding customer-focused and acquisition/new-logo sales skills
  • Outstanding presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen, verbal, and writing communication skills
  • Positive attitude and hands-on work style
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations, product definition documents, and business cases
  • Proficient with MS Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Project or program management background helpful
  • Works independently as well as in a team environment
  • May require travel up to 20% domestically and internationally without restriction
