Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence, division is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for our North Kingstown, RI location.

Description:  
The Human Resources Generalist administers Human Resources Policies and Procedures.  Collects and maintain Human Resources data related to compensation, benefits, training, recruitment, etc. to help make recommendations for improvement.  Processes paperwork for functional area according to established procedures.  Provides support for all Human Resources related activities.  May prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies.


Responsibilities:   
  • Maintains records and assists with reporting requirements in the following areas: health insurance, benefit plans, records maintenance
  • Administers compensation programs, monitors performance evaluation programs and recommends improvements as necessary
  • Performs benefits administration to include enrollments, claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices, and terminations
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, students, and temporary employees
  • Conducts new-employee orientations, monitors succession planning, helps write and place advertisements
  • Assists with employee relations counseling and exit interviews
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Maintains company organizational charts and employee directory
  • Assist employees with questions and concerns regarding benefits, vacation, PTO, etc.
  • Performs office administration work to include data entry, file maintenance, reporting, etc.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
  • Maintains Human Resources Information System (HRIS) records and compiles reports
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
  • Administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all company personnel
  • Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Assists with training employees on employee handbook and policies and procedures manual
  • Remains current with skills by attending training classes, independent research, and seminars as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:   
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 2 – 4 year’s relevant experience
  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and resourceful thinking skills
  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and analytically driven
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • HRIS knowledge a plus
  • Works under minimal direction as well as a team environment
