Location: based remotely in Germany or Austria (preferably Greater Munich or Vienna area; company headquarters are in Bad Aibling, Germany, and Wiener Neustadt, Austria)


Short description:

The Senior Simulation Developer will be responsible for the further development of the interface of our VTD driving simulation applications. VTD is mainly used for the development, testing, and validation of driver assistance and active safety systems. Against this background, it is also used in the field of "highly automated driving". It covers the entire range from the generation of 3D content to the simulation of complex traffic scenarios and the modelling of both simplified and physically driven sensor technology.

This position will be based in a new Scrum Team, reporting to the Head of Product Development.

Tasks in more detail:

  • Development of VTD’s backbone interface with an agile team
  • Develop, design, modify, optimize, and debug deterministic real-time, low latency interface middleware code
  • Deploy, validate, evaluate, and test software on supported platforms
  • Define and implement complex interface data models for internal and external components
  • Contribute to company guidelines and to an optimized agile development process
  • Act as coach and trainer for other developers
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Min. 5 years of professional experience in coding C++
  • Professional experience with high performance, low latency, real-time simulation (automotive, aerospace, military or equivalent)
  • Business fluent in English (level C1)
Beneficial qualification:
  • Experience for data centric interface development (CORBA, DDS, ROS2 or equivalent) ;
  • Experience with distributed simulation and relevant interfaces (DIS, HLA or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of CPU, network and (shared) memory architectures
  • Experience in the development of ADAS and autonomous driving system
  • Knowledge of automotive guidelines and standards
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
