Product Marketing Manager - Portable Metrology Software

Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Product Marketing Manager: Portable Metrology Software.

Description: 
Develop and execute the Product Marketing Strategy and Plans for the product suite. Work closely with Product Managers to help identify product requirements; and work in collaboration with Global and Regional Marcomm and Sales to develop marketing collateral, including brochures, web content, promotional flyers, web and email marketing, and trade shows.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a Marketing Plan articulating the strategies and tactics for raising awareness and generating and nurturing leads for the coming year, including key programs and events with measurements and goals.
  • Create, execute, and measure effectiveness of Go to Market Plans for strategic launches.
  • Identify customers who are willing to give testimonials, case studies and references and amplify their voice in the market.
  • Measure and tune product marketing programs to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
  • Describe each product and the portfolio by its ability to solve market problems. Create internal positioning documents that will be used to develop external messages focused on each key buyer or persona.
  • Understand and document the buyer’s journey for the key segments and buyers identified.
  • Identify competitive and alternative offerings in the market. Assess their capabilities and compare to our unique abilities to deliver value to the market. Use this analysis to inform the marketing plan.
  • Define the archetypal buyers and users (Personas) of the products and services. Articulate and prioritize their problems so that the appropriate products can be built. Illustrate market problems in a “story” that puts the problem in context.
  • Manage proactive communications with relevant stakeholders from strategy through execution.
  • Use your market knowledge to help sales align their selling process to the way the market wants to buy.
  • Develop relevant content to be used for all go-to-market channels and materials.
  • Create tools for salespeople focused on each step of the selling process.
  • Work with the regional field sales teams to develop lead generating campaigns.
  • Participate in the Global team of Product Marketing Managers to align Product Marketing Strategy and look for opportunities to add value by collaborating with other Product Lines.
  • Act as the key Product Line liaison into Global MarComm, coordinating specific requests amongst the various products in the PL. 
  • Assist with increasing visibility on social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Google+ for the corporate channels.
  • Acts as a brand champion for the Product Line in the organization and ensure that use of the brand is compliant.
  • Provide marketing and solution information to regional marketing, sales teams, and training / consulting to support internal and external marketing programs, sales operations, marketing events such as conferences, trade shows and webinars, and channel opportunities and activities.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a marketing or business-related field.
  • MBA is preferred
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Hybrid working. Can work from home but be able to access a Hexagon office.
  • Available for occasional international travel (up to 10% of time).
  • 5+ years in a B2B or industrial product marketing role for a leading software company
  • Comfortable working in an international environment
  • Track record of successfully bringing new products to market internationally.
  • Agile mentality (adaptive and flexible mindset)
  • Experience developing and executing product marketing strategies that support global expansion plans.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • Good project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong creative, problem solving with attention to detail
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes will be valued but manufacturing and metrology domain expertise are NOT required
