Business Development Manager

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Analyse the market growth potential for Korean business of the relevant industries, organizations, macro-economic situation in the region, and applicability and potential of various HMI products and Smart Manufacturing solutions in the region
  • Drive the conceptualization, development, and execution of territory plans for the region to generate leads, qualify new opportunities, identify new markets, and growth plans for the existing markets
  • Collaborate with internal teams like regional sales, marketing, global HMI product line team, and other Hexagon divisions to build healthy pipeline and engage actively till successful closure
  • Build positioning strategies and marketing engagements (Korean business related), that would enable the generation of business opportunities for the HMI products and Smart Manufacturing solutions for Korean customers in the region
  • Understand business challenges faced by the customers and prospects, including industry practices, key regulations, business drivers, competitive analyses, and evolving business needs
  • Demonstrates multiple solution offerings and desired value to be delivered to potential customers
  • Articulate and communicate the right value by aligning solution offerings, capabilities, products, and deliverables associated with qualified opportunities
  • Work independently, in association with the regional Sales and global teams, sales and technology partners, technical and marketing personnel, to achieve revenue targets for the region
  • Continuously enhance understanding of the competitive landscape of the target market; seize opportunities to adapt, change and respond with the business models
  • Evaluate strategic business propositions, potential partnerships and alliances and make recommendations to management on strategies to implement new business activities; translate the recommendation(s) into action
  • Develop a good understanding of the Hexagon solution portfolio, and positioning them
Education
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electronics engineering or related from a reputed institution
  • MBA with a focus on Business Strategy would be a plus
Experience
  • More than 5 years’ experience in business development, technology and management in the Design & Manufacturing industry, focused on translating engineering into manufacturing with the latest technologies
  • Experience in Digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0 technologies and Digital transformation is a must
  • Experience in solution selling / consultative selling would be an added advantage
  • Experience and success in strategy development and execution for new business units
