Hexagon collaborates with SMARTPM to implement smart manufacturing solutions in Europe

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division and has entered a strategic partnership with Spanish system integrator SMARTPM, part of the Egile Group, to implement automated, flexible, intelligent and autonomous manufacturing solutions for European customers.
Under the new agreement, SMARTPM will design and implement smart manufacturing solutions for customers employing Egile Group's expert knowledge of highly complex and precision machining processes and Hexagon’s market-leading metrology and high precision 3D Scanning, CAM, CAE solutions (notably Simufact, FTi FormingSuite) and analysis and data management products such as Q-DAS eMMA in conjunction with its MIC (Manufacturing Intelligence Core) industrial automation platform.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Alfonso Urzainki, President of SMARTPM and Egile Group and Hendrik Schafstall, EVP SFx business unit, Steffen Dilger, VP Sales EMEA Metrology and Production Software and Jordi Edo, General Manager Spain on behalf of Hexagon. It accredited SMARTPM as an EMEA Gold Partner, Hexagon will promote SMARTPM's MIC (Manufacturing Intelligence Core) industrial automation platform when proposing solutions to its customers.
The new agreement builds upon a long-term relationship between Hexagon and the Egile Group that has led to multiple successful project and technology collaborations. Both organisations share a vision of how to address the challenges associated with Industry 4.0 and digitalisation in a pragmatic way that provides high added value for their customers and Hexagon views SMARTPM as a catalyst to accelerate these advances through its technology and expertise.
