Hexagon opens first service centre for laser tracker products in AEC

The brand-new dedicated Hexagon Laser Tracker Service Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, will serve customers throughout Southeast Asia.

Earlier this month, Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division opened a new Laser Tracker Service Centre in Bangkok, Thailand. This is the first such centre the business has established within the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). It represents a leap forward in the range of local services available to the growing number of customers in the region, as well as being a statement of Hexagon’s confidence in the growing demand for high-end metrology equipment throughout Southeast Asia.

The new service centre was opened with a traditional blessing ceremony on Tuesday 5 November 2019, officiated by Mr Taveesak Srisuntisuk, Managing Director of Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division in Thailand. He was joined by 50 invited guests, including representatives of important partners Bangkok Komatsu and the National Institute of Metrology (Thailand), as well as guests Thomas Schmid, Hexagon’s APAC Regional Manager for Tracker Products, and Colin Osborne, Hexagon’s Aftermarket Director for Tracker Products. The ceremony was followed by a tour of the new 168-square-metre facility.

Our philosophy at Hexagon is to provide local service and support for our customers to ensure prompt reaction times, faster turn-around and to meet local cultural expectations.”

The new Hexagon Laser Tracker Service Centre in Bangkok is now open and providing a full range of repair and maintenance services through its staff of dedicated expert application and service engineers.
