Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Inaugurates Madrid Facility
New Precision Centre Offers Better Demonstration and Training Facilities for Local Customers13 September 2016
The inauguration ceremony will be attended by representatives of the company’s European management team including Per Holmberg, President of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence EMEA. Also present will be the General Manager of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence in Spain and Portugal, and officials from the Getafe City Council, Madrid's Regional Government and the Ministry of Industry.
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence has relocated its commercial operations for the Madrid area to a large, modern facility situated in San Marcos Industrial Estate, near Getafe. The company has invested approximately €1million in commissioning this new centre.
The new facility is located in a strategic zone which boasts extensive economic activity related to the aviation sector. Hexagon has tripled the amount of floor space allocated for product installations as the centre will include a new demonstration room, as well as a training room and an administration area. Also located in the building are Hexagon customers Ditecma and AMS; both these companies perform measurement services with Hexagon systems.
“As a company we are committed to providing world-class services that are local to our customers,” said John Paulsen, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence EMEA. “Following on from the 2011 inauguration of a Technical Centre in Vitoria and the 2013 improvements to facilities in Barcelona, this new facility will help reinforce Hexagon’s leadership in Spain and Portugal as the company builds towards its vision of a world where quality drives productivity.”
Alongside the inauguration of the new Madrid centre, Hexagon is also organising a technical event focusing on control process automation. This will take place on 28 and 29 September.
