Software Engineer In Test

Key responsibilities:
  • Write test plans and test software against user & technical requirements
  • Work closely with our PMs, developers, testers & product designers in an agile environment
  • Exploratory testing of new features to ensure release quality
  • Build & maintain test automation frameworks for our web front-end / APIs to enable continuous delivery
  • Identify opportunities to contribute to the improvement of software quality and efficiency of the team
  • Coaching and mentoring team members in test automation
  • Help QA Team execute regression, integration, and other non-functional tests of our software products
  • Love of technology, desire for a constant improvement in quality, self-motivated
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
  • Ability to write detailed test plans & test-cases from technical requirements
  • Transferable programming skills in any language; preferably one or more of C#, Python, Javascript
  • Experience with automated and manual testing of web front-end, APIs and desktop apps
  • Hands on experience with using automation tools/frameworks
  • Experience in Agile methods such as Scrum
  • Production use of Git, GitLab or GitHub
  • Experience in setting up, configuring and running Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines
  • Experience in JIRA or similar Task, Defect & Project Management tools
  • Experience in documentation using Confluence or Wiki's
  • Understanding and appreciation of physics and mechanical/electrical engineering
  • Experience of non-functional testing such as usability and performance
Educational Qualification and Experience:
  • 2:1 Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent numerate subject (Maths, Physics, Engineering) 
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
