Edgecam Support Engineer

We are seeking a Support Engineer for our Edgecam range of products to work as part of the UK Support Team.

The Applicant:
A background in computer aided manufacturing in the metal working industry is essential. You must have a working knowledge of Edgecam or similar CAM Software including:
  • HNC/Degree level qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing discipline
  • Proficient user of CAM in a production environment
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of CNC programming
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organise and structure activities
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy using Microsoft Windows Operating System with a sound knowledge of IT Skills

Working at Hexagon Production Software as a member of the UK Support & Service team, you will be delivering excellent customer service levels by providing quality technical support, customer training and consultancy for our EDGECAM, DESIGNER & NCSIMUL products. Promoting good practice in relation to technical issues and customer training using relevant industry knowledge.

Provide technical assistance to the UK Sales team when requested and promote Hexagon’s products and services to create sales opportunities. Utilise technical and industry best practice and experience to help improve productivity and efficiency across the business and products.

You will be committed to providing operational support to customers via our Helpdesk environment and Customer Support Portal using good communication, analytical skills, initiative and flexibility to provide acceptable resolutions to customer support requests.  You may also be required to deliver product training or consultancy to customers at any of our training facilities or at the customer location. You must be willing to travel occasionally within the UK to meet business needs.

Delegates will have a logical approach and an ability to work in co-operation with other team members and able to demonstrate a “can do will do” attitude, be reliable, and willing to learn the range products to provide a broader support base to at least effectively handle first level of support. A recognised mechanical qualification is required, ideally HNC – Mechanical & Production or higher qualifications are welcome, full driving licence and computer skills are essential.
