Short description:

We require a member of the support team to enjoy speaking to customers and to have a positive can-do attitude and approach. The successful candidate will have the necessary IT skills which are required to assist customers with the deployment and redeployment of the applications.

The Alphacam Support Engineer will report to the UK Support & Services Manager.

Tasks in more detail:
  • Provide best in class post-sales operational support to end users via our Helpdesk environment, E-Support and Support Portal using good communication, analytical skills, initiative, and flexibility to provide acceptable resolutions
  • Deliver first class support and training for ALPHACAM and associated products including DESIGNER with a focus on the wood & stone industries
  • Be proactive and positive in improving the delivery of services and support.
  • Remain abreast in current product developments and future product direction
  • Engage with Product Development teams to provide ideas for product direction and to ensure that the solutions provided meet the market requirements
  • Identify Sales opportunities for Hexagon Production Software
  • Support for Hexagon Account Managers in the acquisition of new sales with the provision of technical advice to customers and prospects in the UK & Ireland
  • Display a positive attitude in promoting our company, software and services.
  • Utilise the Company CRM system to manage the delivery of support & services
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally, primarily within the UK and Ireland but potentially to other countries to satisfy business needs

  • ALPHACAM experience would be preferable
  • Proficient with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft products
  • Ability to work independently but remain part of a Support & Service team, sharing knowledge and experience
  • A background in the Woodworking or Engineering industry
