Short description:

The Senior Productmanager CMM (SPM) will be part of the sCMM devices BU team within the BU Metrology Devices, responsible for the positioning of its product portfolio and their strategic development within the product Lifecycle.

They act as a portfolio champion for a product family and verifies that the global action plan is agreed and followed. The SPM ensures consistency between the BU MD goals and the CMM Product Management objectives.

The Senior Product Manager will report to the Director CMM.


Tasks in more detail:
 
  1. Requirements & Mindset
  • Facilitate the CMM strategy together with the BU MD Management Team, develop recommendations and translate them into actionable road maps
  • Understand the regional business strategies with the Product Support teams’ feedback and participate in the dialog about CMM devices local and global priorities
  • Propose long-term business development objectives and new business models with a focus on services and sustainability
  • Able to lead without formal authority and able to work in matrix organisation
  • Autonomous personality and comfortable in ambiguous situations and high-demand work environment
 
  1. Product Leadership
  • In conjunction with the Product Director CMM, define and implement Product Positioning Strategy for the CMM Portfolio 
  • In conjunction with the Product Director CMM, review and align Product businesses unit goals and road maps
  • Support from a Product management perspective that business targets are met
  • Work across various Productline teams to leverage strategies
  • Facilitate “Product Recommendation Meetings” of the cross-functional teams as well as continuous improvement and efficiency programmes (Corrective Actions, Preventive Actions, Reduce Liabilities) to improve products & processes and increase client satisfaction
  • Support products at every life cycle phase from Ideation to Phase-Out
  • Identify business requirements on a global basis by conducting competitive analysis / market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and partners
  • Work closely with commercial- & regional management, providing feedback & assistance to Commercial Operations, Market Sector Managers and Key Account Managers for product or process improvements or product requirements
  • Support the collaboration between the Product Management and Product Support functions to ensure effective product life cycle with adapted go-to-market strategies

Requirements:
 
  • Master´s degree in Industrial Engineering or other Engineering graduation with toolbox of product management (MBA as a plus)
  • 7+ years’ experience in (commercial or strategic) Product or Portfolio Management, Business Director in a global organisation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel (40 - 50%)
  • Business fluent in English
