Outside Sales Representative - Manufacturing

Position Summary
Contact all customers a minimum of 3 to 4 times per year, ensuring they are aware of additional products and services available.  Solicit new customers and sell complete product line, maintaining monthly individual sales volume supporting territorial sales quota.  Work closely with Customer Service Partner to provide the best service to customers and prospects.


Major Responsibilities :

  • Solicit new customers and sell complete product line, maintaining a minimum monthly individual sales volume that supports territorial sales quota.
  • Comply with and complete all required documentation and/or correspondence associated with the sales process as well as any other documentation or correspondence required.

Education and Experience Requirements

A High school diploma or equivalent is required.  College degree is preferred.  Understanding of Microsoft Windows operating system and general computer proficiency is required.  Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills are required.  Must possess the ability to work and thrive in a team environment.  Minimum of 3 years outside sales experience is required.

Decision Making and Planning

Guidelines and procedures are available and access to a direct supervisor is available for guidance.  The Outside Sales Representative – Mfg must use good judgment in deciding when to seek additional guidance from others.
The physical requirements of this job include:
  • The ability to exert moderate, constant physical effort such as sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, crawling, and kneeling for 100% of the time; repetitive motion for more than 50% of the time; lifting of objects and materials weighing less than 60 pounds for less than 25% of the time; lifting of objects and materials weighing less than 5 pounds for more than 75% of the time.
  • The ability to perceive and discriminate visual cues or signals 100% of the time.
  • The ability to communicate verbally 100% of the time.  Exposure to environmental conditions such as heat cold, dirt, dust, and bright/dim lighting for less than 25% of the time.
  • The ability to drive/ride/travel 50% of the time.
    This position is also required to perform all other duties as assigned.
