Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence, division is seeking a Software Development Engineer for our Oakville, ON location.

Description:  

As Software Development Engineer you will develop new and enhance existing workflows in our software, responding to our customers’ current and future needs. The specific focus of this role is on the simulation and planning of sheet metal stamping processes

Responsibilities:   
  • Develop high quality technical software (C++) for CAE applications in the manufacturing process simulation space. 
  • Define new developments with Product Managers/Product Owners through requirements analysis and agile planning. 
  • Design and implementation of unit tests
  • Hand over developments through technical documentation & demos 
  • Working in an agile software development process with different teams

Qualifications:   
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Maths, or similar. 
  • Demonstrated experience in software development. Can be either academic or industry experience. 
  • Proficient in C++. 
  • Experience/awareness of source control, such as Git, agile methods such as Scrum, and agile tools such as JIRA.
  • Understand the value of good documentation and be willing to create it for your own work.
  • Positive, constructive and creative attitude and keen to learn.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
