Business Developer (Engineering and Lifecycle Management) – North EMEA

The Business Developer (Engineering and Lifecycle Management) – North EMEA is responsible for building business and customer confidence, including supporting deployment of SimManager and MaterialCenter solutions.

The Business Developer (Engineering and Lifecycle Management) – North EMEA reports to the Director of Technical Operations.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Pre-Sales Support – Develop a deep understanding of the market, customer needs, and competition, identify market opportunities, and build business cases collaboratively with account management and business development teams.
  • Solution Definition – work collaboratively with the customer and Services teams to define the solution for deployment as part of the overall software/services delivery.
  • Support ongoing deployment – Support the execution of the solution delivery, collaborating internally with services and product management to ensure successful delivery in close collaboration with customers.
  • Product Enhancement – Liaise with Product Management to ensure needs are appropriately represented as the voice of the customer.

Requirements:
 
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Deep knowledge of Simulation and Material Data Management. MS or Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Understanding of the Design & Engineering ELM portfolio (SimManager and MaterialCenter products) and/or equivalent competitive products
  • Familiarity with software development - Be comfortable with scripting and supporting development activity in support of customer focused deployment.
  • Excellent combination of business, marketing, and technology skills to make the best strategic and product tradeoffs.
  • Cross-functional influencer – Work internally with virtual teams with colleagues across the organization and externally with partners and customers
  • Cheerleader – Be the champion for SimManager and MaterialCenter by supporting the sales teams to deliver successes and working with the product teams to address customers’ needs.
