Job title: R&D Software Development Engineer

Short description:

The R&D engineer will be developing Digimat and MaterialCenter product lines. They will be responsible for the development of new models and methodologies to enrich our product lines working with other R&D engineers, business developers and specialists.

The R&D engineer will report to the R&D Director.

Tasks in more detail:
  • Tech watch on AI/ML techniques
  • Implementation of proof of concept and validation and of new features in the products
  • Selecting and designing AI/ML models: Underfitting/overfitting, precision/recall/F1 Score, hyper-parameters selection, test/validate/train data
  • Implementation the associated automated tests to enforce product quality
  • Have strong interactions with the other members of the team and report on-going activities to team manager
  • Work with R&D Director, Product Manager and other stakeholders to develop our product roadmap related to AI/ML techniques

  • 3 years of experience or a Ph.D focusing on AI/ML
  • Software development (C++/C#) and scripting skills particularly in Python. Additional skills in web development is a plus. 
  • Strong fundamental background about AI and Machine Learning basic algorithms
  • Mastering good practices in selecting / designing AI/ML models
  • Shallow Neural Networks and Deep learning especially CNN and RNN  using Tensorflow, PyTorch, Keras etc 
  • Good notions about Data Management, data structures and databases. 
  • Linux and High performance computing (HPC) tools
  • Knowledge in mechanics and/or materials is a plus.
