Job title: Director of Software Architecture

Location: EMEA (Based ideally near one of our offices)

Short description:

The Director of Software Architecture be responsible for the long-term technical vision for our Production (CAM) Software portfolio. They will hold primary responsibility to define a software architecture strategy to fulfil the vision, migrating our successful classic portfolio of CAM (and related) products towards future generations of highly innovative products and technology in support of our smart manufacturing ambitions and strategy.

The Director of Software Architecture will report to the President Metrology & Production Software

Tasks in more detail:
  • Define and own the long-term technical vision for the CAM Software portfolio
  • Define a technical roadmap to migrate from the existing portfolio of classic CAM products towards the future vision
  • Ensure alignment with MI top-level objectives to deliver smart manufacturing solutions to our customers
  • Participate with Product Owners and Product Managers in leading Agile scrum teams in the development of classic and next generation CAM software products
  • Contribute to strategic thinking concerning the Metrology and Production software business and Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence overall
  • Line manage a small team of software architects located internationally in pursuit of the above responsibilities

  • A minimum of 5 years experience leading software architecture for CAM, CAD or another related manufacturing software domain
  • Extensive experience developing or leading cloud-native software applications
  • Experience working across cultures in a global organization and with customers globally
  • Fluent in English
