Solution Marketing Manager Automation

Functional Summary

Develop and implement Marketing Strategy for the Automated Solutions Unit. Work closely with the team (Product Manager, Sales Support, BU Direction) to help identify product value proposition; and work in collaboration with Global Marketing Communications to develop marketing collateral including, sales presentation, brochures, web content, promotional flyers, email marketing strategy. Supporting and coordinating international events, and trade shows.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop the Solution Marketing Strategy for the portfolio, including (for example): Go To Market strategy & plan; Product Messaging & Positioning; Collaterals; and Industry Segmentation strategy
  • Participate in the Global team of Product Marketing Managers to align Solution Marketing Strategy and look for opportunities to add value by collaborating with other Business Units.
    • Support Product Management: visit customers for interviews; business cases; promote products; help to identify product requirements; support the preparation of business plans; contribute to competitor analysis.
  • Uphold and execute Marketing Communications policies. Act as the key Unit liaison into Global MarComm, coordinating specific requests amongst the various products in the Unit. 
  • Develop promotional and marketing materials for products and services in collaboration with product managers, including brochures, datasheets, application reports, case studies, newsletters, web content, promotional flyers, and trade show marketing. Ensure timely delivery of all collateral, drawing on services from Global Marcomm or other sources as required.
  • Administer a database of all Unit collateral (such as uploads on Hemisphere, Bynder, MSTeams , Seismic) including translations and keep all documents up to date and accurate within the database and on the corporate website.
  • Develop and support sales presentation materials.
  • Support marketing requests such as customer presentations, video and photo request, public relations support, and training assistance
  • Assist with increasing visibility on social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ for the corporate channels
  • Stay current with industry practice on marketing communications using knowledge to impact communications tactics
  • Develop audience-focused, targeted marketing content in alignment with segmentation strategy
  • Acts as a brand champion for the Business Units in the organization and ensure that use of the brand is compliant

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
  • Ideally 4 or more years in a B2B marketing role, preferably in a related field
  • Ability to combine marketing skills with technical product knowledge
  • Strong analytical thinking and decision making skills
  • Competent in distilling ideas from a wide range of stakeholders to generate robust marketing strategy
  • Proven ability to author a broad range of media communication independently
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong self-starter comfortable in ambiguous situations and open to new challenges
  • Energetic with the ability to multi-task while still delivering results on time
  • Team player that can work effectively within a complex matrix organisation  
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • 20-30% Global travel
  • English on a proficiency level
