Short description:
The global strategic marketing director is responsible for driving the overarching marketing strategy, messaging, and content development in the Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) division for global strategic initiatives, including Smart Manufacturing. The strategic marketing director builds thought leadership for key topics and ensures coherent end-to-end and top-to-down messaging across the division with industry and product marketing teams. 

Tasks in detail:
 
  • Drive global, overarching marketing strategy, messaging, and content development for the MI division. Conceptualize a unified way to describe the MI division's offering (e.g., Smart Manufacturing) for the target industries together with other stakeholders. Create a compelling business outcome-focused narrative resonating with senior decision-makers.
  • Develop the messaging and content addressing critical topics for the division- such as sustainability, cloud, AI, and more.
  • Develop, maintain, and drive the implementation of industry and application-focused marketing strategy for prioritized industry segments (Automotive, Aerospace, Electronics, Energy, and Medical) with a team of Industry Marketing managers.
  • Synchronise with product marketing managers ensuring product messaging, benefits, and value connects with the over-arching narrative.
  • Ensure a tight integration between messaging, key topics, industries, and portfolio marketing messages across the division. 
  • Develop compelling content for demand and lead generation. Work with the global and regional Marcom teams to activate content across markets, positioning Hexagon and generating leads.
  • Collaborate with the relevant teams to ensure high-quality website implementation for conveying messaging and content to the target audiences
  • In particular, drive sustainability messaging in collaboration with the key stakeholders in the division.

Requirements:
 
  • 10+ years of experience in leading B2B marketing, product, solutions, or channel functions in relevant technology or manufacturing industries
  • Master's degree in business, marketing, or international management
  • Extensive experience in operating in complex, multinational and multi-faceted (e.g., matrix) organisations with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in building and launching technical business solutions addressing customer challenges
  • Building, managing, and developing virtual expert teams successfully in a multinational environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability to understand various business stakeholder needs, drive prioritization, and deliver outcomes
  • The ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically, communicate vision effectively, and influence across the organization
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex ideas clearly and engagingly at all business levels, including customer, management, sales, and technical
  • Adept at inspiring behavioural change through motivating teams, planning initiatives, and designing priorities while being decisive when facing ambiguity
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate with business stakeholder teams to align cross-functional processes
  • Execution-driven and result-oriented, ensuring a strategy translates to outcomes.
