Short description:

The Service Technician will be responsible for the calibrations, repairs and maintenance of Laser Trackers according to the strategic plan delivering against commercial and organizational targets.

The Service Technician will report to the Service Manager.

Tasks in detail:
  • Repair and maintenance work in the electronic and opto-mechanical area of laser trackers and their accessories
  • Final inspection of laser trackers and their accessories
  • Collaboration with service centers worldwide
  • Implementation of internal technician training
  • Preparation of technical documentation
  • Participation in interdisciplinary innovation projects

  • A relevant technical education 
  • General experience of mechanical, electronic and optical service issues
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Willing to travel for training courses to Switzerland (1 – 2 weeks per year) and occasionally to travel to customers for small repairs and re-certifications within the Benelux
  • Experienced in trouble shooting and ability to handle miniature components
  • Computer experience in various engineering technical software
  • Customer oriented and self-driven personality
  • Ability to adapt and change to accommodate priority projects.
  • Acquainted with the full range of workshop tools and test measurement equipment
  • Full car driving license
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word for administration and documentation.
