Job Title:  C++ Simulation Software Developer
Location: Remote (Europe)

The C++ Simulation Software Developer will report to the Head of Usability & Interfaces and be responsible for the development of VTD’s core backbone infrastructure, modules and interfaces. They will develop, design, modify, optimise, and debug applications and libraries in C++. 

VIRES Virtual Test Drive - VTD is our complete toolchain for driving simulation applications. VTD is mainly used for the development, testing, and validation of driver assistance and active safety systems. Against this background, it is also used in the field of "highly automated driving". It covers the entire range from the generation of 3D content to the simulation of complex traffic scenarios and the modelling of both simplified and physically driven sensor technology. It is used in SiL, DiL, ViL and HiL applications and may also be operated as co-simulation.

Main Tasks:
  • Deploy, validate, evaluate, and test software on supported platforms
  • Develop and integrate core modules and interfaces for Virtual Test Drive using technologies such as C++, CMake or Qt on Linux and Windows.
  • Contribute to company guidelines and to an optimised agile development process
  • Collaborate with other agile software development teams
  • Document activities and results, prepare technical reports, present results, and demonstrate system capabilities to peer review groups, partners, working groups, and sponsors.

  • At least 2 Years professional experience in coding with C++
  • Deep understanding of software design principles and object oriented programming
  • Business fluent in English (level C1)
  • Motivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with engineers/partners/customers across different geographies
